I asked the older kids what they wanted to do. They said they wanted to be bored! They are all so busy that doing nothing sounded good to them. So that's what we did. We went out wedding dress shopping for Becky Saturday morning and for barbecue Saturday night, but the rest of the time was spent at home. Four of the kids' flights on Southwest were canceled Sunday due to the snow. But since Dan flies so often on United he was able to get them all on later flights. We'll see most of them in April in California. Here's a few pics of boredom in action!

Family Weekend
The whole family was together this weekend! Mia kept calling them brothers and sisters. She is finally getting it! It's hard for her to think of them as brothers and sisters when they live so far away and are so much older than her.
The older kids are so good at having fun with all four littles. Everyone plays with everyone. A whole bunch of us did the Hokie Pokie.
The play room was the most used room in the house!
We went sledding on the side of the house!
You can probably tell that these pics were not taken by me! Beth was the official photographer for the weekend. More tomorrow!

3 2 1 Blastoff!
Saturday morning we went to the grand opening of the ULA sponsored exhibit at Denver Children's Museum. We were a bit early for the ceremony so the girls played on the real fire truck first.
At 10:00 we headed up to 3 2 1 Blastoff! Here is the main "thrust" of the exhibit. Kids get to make their own paper rockets, or choose one left behind, and launch it into "space". The lucky ones make it to a planet!
The local news was there.
The girls also had fun seeing how air lifts scarves through a pipe and causes balls to hover midair.
Dan got to officially open the exhibit to the public.
We spent the next hour or so going to other exhibits in the museum, some we have experienced, some new.
The bubble room is always fun. You can catch giant bubbles or stand on a platform and make a bubble around you and your friends.
Not everyone likes being surrounded by a giant bubble. Or perhaps being that close to other kiddos.
And not everyone cooperates really well when they are hungry! Or as Beth says, hangry.
After lunch we headed out as it was getting terribly crowded. We almost never come to this place on a Saturday for this reason. Our last stop was the playground on the way out. Fun day!

Valentine's Day
Yesterday we made cookies for friends, teachers and therapists. The grocery store didn't have any heart cookie cutters! But we found this plastic container of M & M's that worked just right. And the M&M's inside were used for decorations.
I told Mia the cookies had to be cool before we could decorate them. While I was turned the other way she got out the meat thermometer and "took the temperature" of each cookie. She announced they were "cool". Of course each cookie now had a big hole!
Mia and "Sis", as she now calls her, decorated the cookies together. Well, Mia decorated them and Anna ate as many red sprinkles as she could get her hands on...and her mouth...and her chin...
The cookies came out great!
The girls woke to Valentine octopi and stickers!
The stickers ended up in some interesting places!
For dinner we went to our traditional breakfast for dinner at IHOP. The girls wore their jammies.
Happy Valentine's Day!!
I'm bummed the Blogger changed their format for adding pictures and I don't know how to make them larger any more!
