November 2020

Our dining area - this stays out all week and then goes in the closet on the weekends.

As part of homeschooling, we make lunches for the homeless.

To start off November, we had a geology lesson at coop.

For the next week's coop we learned all about medieval times at a local Episcopal church.

Anna got a cookie cutter shaped like a bone. It feels very weird to eat these.

We celebrated Melissa's birthday.

For science we are now studying electricity and making circuits with Dad.

The next week's coop was about art and ...

...fishing!

Nobody caught any fish so we dissected the fish Lea bought at the store.

Hawk likes persimmons!

For the last coop of November we had a music lesson.
A married couple in our coop are professional musicians.
The brought along a bunch of instruments for the kids to play.

And of course there is always tree climbing.

They played a few songs for the kids.

We had a potluck to celebrate Thanksgiving!

The dad played his violin. He was very very talented. I've never heard anything like it.

We always like to take a fall trip to a farm. This time we took Maks and Oli with us.
It was very strange to have it be almost empty.

We went to Platform 99 for a snack.

Our annual family Thanksgiving trip was canceled due to covid and so we decided to go whale watching.

We hit an area with thousands and thousands of dolphins. It was staggering how many there were.

We didn't see any whales but the we'll always remember being surrounded by thousands of dolphins.

The put up a temporary ice skating rink at a hotel by the beach so we went for a skate.

We were so glad 2020 was almost over!
