Homeschool Activities January - May 2022

Anna decided to come back to homeschooling for the rest of the year. She was just in time to dissect a sheep's eyeball. The kids next door were off that day so they helped too.

We are studying the five animal groups so it was off to the
San Diego Wild Animal Park to look at mammals.

The Ocean Institute was a great place to see fish and touch fish as wells as...

...dissect them.

For more mammal lessons we headed to Vegas to see a camel sanctuary called Camel Safari.
But first we had to stop at the M&M Museum.

The owner was amazing.
We learned so much about camels and other mammals, including this porcupine.

We went on a history field trip to Calico ghost town and camped in the very dusty dirty campground.
As we attempted to enter the mine, we found out Anna is now claustrophobic

We moved from animals to botany for our science lessons.
What better place to see beautiful plants than the arboretum!

Every Monday the girls go to art class at Mike's house.
He has a studio in the back and the girls have enjoyed these lessons quite a bit.

Mia decided to draw a picture of our cat, Pebbles, who passed away, from this photograph.

It is still unfinished. Hopefully, she will finish it one day.

Anna has a lot of time for her many activities while homeschooling.

We went down to a falconry class in San Diego.

The bird got a reward for obeying all the flying commands.

Next year, they both want to homeschool again.
