We are doing a paleontology unit so we headed out to the La Brea Tar Pits for a field trip. I hadn't been here since I was a kid. The museum is fairly new. The fact that all these animals lived around here at one time and got stuck in these tar pits and died perfectly preserved is quite fascinating.
Afterward, we headed over to the Farmers Market so Mia could see where her fraternal grandparents met.
I love the nostalgia of the place.
We ate lunch at this open air patio.
What a day spent down Memory Lane!
