Bare with me! I wanted to do this for Mia and Anna so they have a record of their childhood in pictures. Beth and Becky really like the photo albums I created of their childhoods. It will take awhile to catch up to the present. Not sure why I stopped four years ago but better late than never! So onward!
Darlene and I have amazing memories of taking the older kids on road trips. Mia and Anna have done one before with Dar and had a blast so it was time for another!
First stop, Winchester Mystery House. Not really a true mystery as the stars leading to nowhere, etc. were all just because of an earthquake.
Next stop, Golden Gate Bridge! Mia had been there on her fourth grade trip but Anna had never seen it.
Anna was so excited to see the house featured on Full and Fuller House!
It's painted a different color now but easily recognizable.
We wanted to get clam chowder on Fisherman's Wharf. So many restaurants that had been in business for decades were closed permanently due to the covid lockdowns.
There were hardly any people there compared to what I remembered from the past.
This place was a hit! Lots of weird old time games. I didn't take any pictures inside. :(
We tried to go to the Mystery Spot in Santa Cruz but the traffic was so
bad we missed our reservation and they didn't have any others. We did get some ice cream at the famous Marianne's in Santa Cruz so it was not a total bust.
On the way back to L.A. we stopped and got the most amazing Ranier cherries.
They tasted nothing like the grocery store ones!
