At the end of June we rented a house with a small private lake, more like a very large pond.
These are the steps going down to the lake.
The owners had a paddle boat and some kayaks for us to use.
We brought my paddle board and ...
...Melissa brought her large blow up raft. Many many hours were spent having fun on this lake.
And just hanging out was a blast too.
We took a train ride through the Sierras.
One day we went to Yosemite. We entered through the southern entrance.
I had never been to this side of Yosemite.
This famous hotel was open for limited capacity. The restaurant wasn't open but you could order box lunches which we ate on the benches on the veranda.
Beautiful lobby.
There was a beautiful river behind the hotel which we hung out in.
After awhile we took a mile long hike to a swimming hole.
On another day we rented a pontoon boat and pulled an inner tube on Bass Lake.
On the last day we took another hike which did not lead us where we wanted to go but was still fun.
