We had planned to visit Beth and Greg in August sometime but our plans had to be revised and we ended up going for Labor Day weekend,
a time when Becky and family are usually there because Arek has a job there.
We flew first to Portland and visited Washington Park. There is something gorgeous about roses growing in the PNW. They never look half as good here in California.
They're not too old to horse around.
Nor too old to throw coins in a fountain.
These creepy old stairs were blocked off but I fell in love with them.
Once Mike and Donna were off work we headed to their new house. It was beautiful.
We went to the end of their street and picked wild blackberries.
This is the only picture of our time at their house. :(
The next day we headed to Seattle to see these little munchkins.
There was a lot of Lego building going on.
After that it was time to go see them throw the fish!
The next day we had another birthday to celebrate. Becky, with a Duffy boat ride.
