We started off the year with a space unit for science. Our first field trip was to Griffith Observatory.
Anna decided to go back to school this year but she hadn't started yet so she got a little extra learning.
She was not a fan.
I never about this little forest next to the observatory. We took a walk through it.
The next week Anna was in school so we took just Mia to
The Columbia Space Center.
The center was dedicated to the shuttle program and they had lots of memorabilia.
Launching paper airplanes you made is always fun.
Meanwhile, Anna is happy to be with her friend Ella in Miss Zess' class.
So far the school year is starting out great!
