Martin Visit 2022/2023

To get ready for the Martin's visit the girls made a ton of sugar cookies for everyone to decorate.

I love that this is an activity young and old alike can enjoy.

Present opening time!

Chase got to hold Kinga for the first time.

We went to Northwoods Inn to celebrate Grandpa's birthday.

For part of their present, Dan and I took all the grandkids to Medieval Times.
Mia's 'silly face' is very similar to her 'I don't like pictures face'.

Our knight didn't win but we got cool souvenirs.

We went over to Irvine Park and OC Zoo.

I didn't get pictures of us riding in the Surrey but it was a bit of a mini disaster any way.
And then it started raining...again.

Beth had a New Years Eve party at her Airbnb.

We attended Disney on Ice!

Can you tell Paige loved it?

The new playground at Central Park is fabulous,
especially when the park has a cafe where you can order lunch.

The boys found a Christmas tree someone dumped at the park and dragged it all around.

Little Kinga liked the park too.

Funny how the kids never mind walking when you are going to the frozen yogurt place.

We are always sad to see the the Martins go home,
but we almost always have a date of when we will see them again!

Christmas Day 2022

 Christmas Day was family day!
Dar and Sean and Matt's family were all at his house for brunch.
He lives nearby so they all came to our house for dinner.

Cute little Millie.

Kinga's first Christmas!

Dar wrapped gift cards in plastic to create a game. It was frustrating and fun!

Merry Christmas!

Christmas Eve 2022

We spent Christmas Eve with the neighbors this year.

This is Tru, Kelly's dad.

Not many kids get to spend Christmas with their best friends!

The Nutcracker 2022

We had a girls day at The Nutcracker in Long Beach with both sides of the family attending.

We went out to a great Mexican restaurant before the performance.

It's nice to see Stephanie more often now that she lives in Southern California.

This was a fun holiday outing!

Festival of Lights 2022

I had been wanting to go to the The Mission Inn in Riverside for the Festival of Lights for awhile. We had reservations last year but then Covid hit.
This year Dan wasn't feeling well but he was fine with just me and the girls going. So, girls trip!

The decorated spaces are not very big. And it was very crowded.
But we still got some good pictures.

Anna loved these pews everywhere.

You can only go upstairs if you are staying at the inn. Lucky us!

Outside, there are lights everywhere.

And there's a about a block of eateries and other Christmasy pop-up places.

The stained glass windows in the hotel were amazing.

It was fun to spend some time with just the girls.
