Finishing Off Spring 2023

Our last science unit of the year is a bird unit. And I became fascinated with birds.
We took several field trips to look at and watch the behavior of birds.
At Bolsa Chica Preserve we watched this common tern fly all around us.

And then he posed for pictures.

We also saw a few snowy egrets.

We went back to the arboretum to see the peacocks in their breeding plumage.

We celebrated Oliver's 8th birthday!
Looking at this picture I'm not sure why there are so many desserts.

After finishing our US History unit we moved on to world geography.
There is a small Japanese Garden at Long Beach State so we headed over to see it.

We fit in one spring camping trip.

Kelly called in this stranded injured seal. He works at the sea mammal rescue center.

We like to shop while we camp.

For Father's Day we went to Bixby Village golf course were I'm told they have the best burgers.
Everyone also did a little putting.

I love seeing kids off their screens and interacting with each other.

That will be it for homeschooling pictures! The girls have decided to go back to school next year!
