Vacation Day 3

Yesterday we went out to the Queen Mary to check out the room where Becky and Arek will be having their wedding reception. I did not take any pictures. Both kids were antsy and required our attention, along with the event planner. I did not have an extra hand or moment to take a picture!

After leaving the Queen Mary, we headed down the street to the aquarium. I use to take my third grade class here every year in my other lifetime! It's a world-class aquarium. The Denver aquarium does not even come close.

Mia got as close as possible to the sea life.

Even if it was human.

They both like trying to pet the rays. Although Anna backed away every time.

I thought this was fascinating.

It looks like an open mouth. But they actually cut away the hard shell of this shark's abdomen and replaced it with plexiglass so you could see the eggs incubating inside. Crazy.

At the end, we let them play on the playground for a bit and then got some lunch.

They both fell asleep on the way home in the car. Every day of vacation they have taken naps in the care. They never take naps at home, but they have been sooo tired out!

Back at the hotel we watched a movie and then headed out to meet Arek and Becky at Joe's Crab Shack.

Anna loves to "hold" Max.

Meanwhile...back at the ranch...our contractor is busy pulling out windows and replacing them with larger ones and framing a new fireplace.

And getting ready for a really cold Tuesday. Glad we here!
